Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay arrested by the CBI in Kolkata today in connection with the Rose Valley Chit Fund Scam as he didn't cooperate in probe.
Mamata Banerjee said that if they think that after the arrest of TMC MP Sudip Bandhopadhyay, we will not protest, they are wrong.
The situation in Kolkata became critical soon after Bandyopadhyay's arrest as many TMC workers and leaders stood up on their toes to protest the arrest.
Bandyopadhyay was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the Rose Valley Chit Fund scam.
Investigators suspect that Bandopadhyay was in company with those who helped Rose Valley boss Gautam Kundu launder money overseas.
Later, after the violent outburst died down, TMCCP supporters took part is a sit down demonstration to protest BJP's attempt to politically use the CBI to arrest their leader.
