TOP HONOR:  Lathrop Police Services Acting Captain Bruce Wuest was promoted to Captain of the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Department Patrol Division at a ceremony in French Camp, Monday, March 17.
    A 20-year veteran in law enforcement, Wuest has been assigned duties at the Jail, Honor Farm, Patrol, Detective unit, SWAT team and in 2005 to Lathrop Police Services. He has received many letters of commendation including the nominee for the Italian Athletic Club’s 1997 “Officer of the Year Awards”.
    Wuest, who has led Lathrop Police Services since Commander Dolores Delgado went on leave in August, will stay at the Lathrop post until a replacement is named.  Pictured:  Sons, Paul and John, help the Captain pin his new badge
