            The Spreckels Park Little League Major Division Orioles faced off with the White Sox in a windy game on Tuesday, April 29 at Brock Elliot School. The conditions couldn’t shake the undefeated Orioles from a 2-1 victory.

            Jayson Manuta pitched two innings with no runs allowed and six strikeouts. Michael Garibay tossed three frames with four strikeouts and the lone earned run. George Uriarte crushed a line drive double to bring in the Orioles first run.Brody Kasinger earned an RBI on the second with a ball belted up the middle.

            For the Sox, Jacob Gallagher, Mason Merilles, and Gerald Parente fought back with strategic throws on the mound. Michael LeLaurin, who doubled and scored the run, led the White Sox. Gallagher and Bryson Sanders also contributed with a hit.

            The Orioles and Angels also faced off in a 1-0 pitching duel with the Orioles coming out on top with a bottom-of-the-sixth walk-off single by Justin Canady.

            Alex Jorgensen went the distance with only giving up one hit and throwing 14 strikeouts.

            The Angels countered with Reid Maestas, Nolan Kelly, and William Thompson, who combined for three hits, one run, and six strikeouts.

            Maestas managed a hit for the Angels. 

Minor Division Giants 9, Pirates 3

            Justin Killian and Stephen Halleck pitched for a combined four hits and 14 strikeouts performance.

            Mark Vicente had two hits, while Killian managed a double. Kody Justis added a single.

            Blake Gainous led the Pirates pitching with allowing four hits and stricking out 10.

            Manuel DeAvila led the Pirates with a double and a single, while Jared Strack and Tyler Fitch added singles.

Giants 8, Diamondbacks 3

            Matthew Snell, Kody Justis and Stephen Halleck combined for a two hit and 11-strikeout performance.

            The hot bats for the Giants were led by Zackary DeRosset who had two doubles, while Halleck and Justin Killian managed a double and single each. Justis and Snell belted two singles while Mark Vicente and Tyler Hillman contributed big hits.

            Joshua LeLaruin and Joseph Sofranac had the hits for the Diamondbacks.
