DOING THEIR PART: Letter carriers in 10,000 cities — including Manteca mailman Padith “Sai” Shonrasin, at left — collected some 70 million pounds of food for the 16th annual Letter Carriers Food Drive on Saturday, May 10. In Manteca, those donations will help feed people in need at the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. Above, St. Vincent de Paul volunteers Al DeGroot, his son Ron DeGroot and Agusto Bonfiglio load 7,000 pounds of food into a truck.
