Strong-arm robber takes wallet, cell phone

Manteca Police received 651 calls between Feb. 1 and Wednesday, Feb. 7. The following is a sample of those calls.

Wednesday, Feb. 7

A man on the 2000 block of Woodbine Avenue called at 8 a.m. and said someone had stolen a gray Toyota Tundra.

Tuesday, Feb. 6

A woman at Wal-Mart, 1205 S. Main St., called at 4:42 p.m. and said someone had threatened to kill a cat if she didn’t pay $100.

Monday, Feb. 5

A man on the 800 block of Moffat Boulevard called at 7:16 a.m. and said someone had stolen a maroon Dodge Dakota.

A man on the 200 block of Cherry Lane called at 11:51 a.m. and said someone had stolen a white Chevrolet truck.

A man on the 300 block of South Union Road called at 12:45 p.m. and said his ex-girlfriend’s brothers had attacked him.

A woman on the 600 block of Northgate Drive called at 1:55 p.m. and said someone had stolen a white Cadillac DeVille.

A sheriff’s deputy on the corner of Pueblo Road and Arapaho Way called at 3:32 p.m. and said he needed help with a young man brandishing a gun.

A man on the corner of Wawona Street and Ebbetts Avenue called at 11:13 p.m. and said someone had strong-armed him and taken his wallet and cell phone.

Sunday, Feb. 4

A man on the 500 block of East Edison Street called at 10:49 a.m. and said someone had stolen a blue Chevrolet Silverado.

A man outside 7-Eleven, 1399 N. Main St., reported at 1:18 p.m. that he had been shot.

A clerk at 7-Eleven, 853 E. Yosemite Ave., called at 7:16 p.m. and said four men had attacked him.

Saturday, Feb. 3

A woman on the 200 block of Northwoods Avenue called at 12:12 p.m. and said someone had stolen a silver Suzuki Forenza.

A woman at Target, 280 Spreckels Ave., called at 5:12 p.m. and said she had an employee in custody for embezzlement.

A woman on the 900 block of Aldwina Lane called at 7:59 p.m. and said someone had thrown feces all over her car, rung the doorbell and then left.

A man on the corner of West Center Street and North Union Road called at 8:25 p.m. and said a car had hit him when he was on his bike and then had left.

Friday, Feb. 2

A man on the 500 block of Northgate Drive called at 8:53 a.m. and said someone had stolen a green GMC truck.

An employee at Manteca Branch Library, 320 W. Center St., called at 2:09 p.m. and said a man had told her people were spying on him.

Feb. 1

An employee at the city offices, 1001 W. Center St.; called at 11:44 a.m. and said an ex-city employee had committed fraud.

A woman on the 1100 block of West Yosemite Avenue called at 12:01 p.m. and said her deceased father’s caregiver had stolen his money and identity.

A man on the 100 block of North Grant Avenue called at 1:57 p.m. and said a health aide was harassing his disabled daughter.
