Woman’s pit bull bites attacker

Manteca Police received 684 calls between Feb. 15 and Wednesday, Feb. 21. The following is a sample of those calls.

Wednesday, Feb. 21

A woman on the 1000 block of Garden Gate Drive called at 6:27 a.m. and said someone had stolen a black Chevrolet Tahoe.

Someone on the 200 block of Northwoods Avenue reported at 3:33 p.m. that someone was hitting a 7-year-old child with a belt.

Tuesday, Feb. 20

A woman on the corner of North Sherman Avenue reported at 7:54 a.m. that her boyfriend had attacked her and her pit bull had bit him.

Monday, Feb. 19

A woman on the 200 block of Wawona Street reported a tan Ford Mustang as stolen at 12:58 p.m.

A woman on the 200 block of Spreckels Avenue called at 5:19 p.m. and reported a purple Honda Accord as stolen.

Sunday, Feb. 18,

A man on the 800 block of Siskiyou Lane reported a white Honda Accord as stolen at 11:10 a.m.

Saturday, Feb. 17

A man on the 400 block of North Main Street called at 4 p.m. and said that someone had attacked him with a tire iron.

A woman on the 1200 block of West Center Street called at 8:31 p.m. and said someone had sent her a box of feces in the mail.

Friday, Feb. 16

A man at Western Mobile Home Park, 1130 W. Yosemite Ave., reported at 9:01 a.m. that someone had threatened to blow up the park earlier that morning.

A woman on the 900 block of Jasmine Hollow Drive called at 11:42 a.m. and said she had found a 2- or 3-year-old girl by herself.

Feb. 15

A man on the 1300 block of East North Street reported a yellow Ford Mustang as stolen at 2:09 a.m.

A woman on the 400 block of Mercedes Avenue called at 8:37 a.m. and said someone had stolen a Mercury Sable.

A man on the corner of Mellon Avenue and Carnegie Court called at 12:46 p.m. and said someone had stolen a Freightliner truck.

A woman on the 1900 block of Basil Drive called at 1:38 p.m. and said that a man who might have been drunk had fallen out of his car with his penis exposed.

A man on the corner of Chenin Blanc Drive and Locust Ave called at 12:20 a.m. and said two loose huskies had killed his cat.

A caller at the emergency room at Kaiser Foundation Hospital, 1777 W. Yosemite Ave., reported at 6:11 p.m. that a 4-year-old boy had shot himself in the face with a BB gun.
